A few basic numbers about the Middle East. Any discussion or argument about the ME, must start off from an intelligent and knowledgeable platform.

Dear all,
The newspapers of the World, TV news spots and and the internet have all given the ME and her recent upheavals  prime time and place.
Everybody seems to have an opinion. Unfortunately, in our Modern Societies and extremely frequently in all Islamic communities  FACTS don't seem to matter. Insulting Israel, her citizens and Jewish history are all fair game.
      So, to make a little attempt to  un-sink the sinking boat of logic, fairness and intelligent discussion I have prepared a series of Fact Sheets that outline by subject some basic stuff about what happens here and the FACTS that make up the skeleton of all the players in the ME.

So, next time you have a discussion, argument or opinion about all the thousands of events that happen here almost daily---at the very least have a few facts in your back pocket.

(When I was in Beijing some 2 years ago--I had a semi-intelligent discussion with the chair-man of the China Dental Association---in English--and he insisted that there were 70 Million Jews in Israel--I tried to correct him twice---but He , obviously knew more about Israel that I did----so He was right, and I was wrong.)
